Visiting professor at GMD (now Fraunhofer Gesellschaft), the former national research center for information technology and member of the Hermann von Helmholtz-Community of German Research Centers (HGF). I was situated at the Castle of Birlinghoven (St. Augustin near Bonn) at the research department for Applied Information Technology (FIT) and worked on evaluation methodology for 3-D VR-Software in the medical sciences. |

Fulbright Scholarship at the University of California/Berkeley at the Department of Philosophy and at the Institute for Cognitive Studies, offering now an interdisciplinary programme for a Cognitive Science Major for Undergraduates. In Berkeley I worked with Prof. Hubert L. Dreyfus and Prof. John R. Searle on the subject "Social Impacts of Artificial Intelligence". |
